Operator Preparation in the vegetable processing industry

As one of the frontrunners in the vegetable processing industry, our client supplies a wide range of fresh products including ready-to-eat sliced vegetables, meal salads, salad dishes and fruit salads to supermarkets, fast food chains, wholesalers, catering companies and inflight caterers at home and abroad.

The company is looking for a full-time Operator for the Preparation department. This involves looking for someone who is willing to work in various services (including night shift) and who is available both once every two weeks on Saturday and during the holidays.

Responsibilities

You ensure that the production lines in the preparation department continue to produce. The production lines in the washing and preparation department prepare various vegetables in various ways. You are responsible for the operation of a single production line. You set up the machine, check and adjust where necessary. You will also include the assembly and conversion of the machine and the performance of simple maintenance and repair work. You register the production data of line and you perform quality checks. You also comply with the regulations for quality assurance regard to HACCP, BRC and internal house rules. You are responsible to a team leader.

As an operator at our client:

• You have a secondary school working and thinking level
• Is relevant knowledge and work experience in a comparable position an advantage
• You are technically skilled
• You speak and read in and you can speak in English – Dutch is a preference
• You are communicative, pro active and quality oriented
• You work in changing shifts, on Saturdays and public holidays
